For Sale: 1984 Pontiac Fiero in Concord, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

This 1984 Pontiac Fiero is like no other you've likely ever seen before. It's a full restomod build that has a custom/sleeker body, a luxury leather-lined A/C interior, four-wheel disc brakes, and a powerful crate V8. So while the Fiero name made us all think of a Ferrari-like package, this custom build is the first one to actually deliver that exotic car feeling.

There aren't many better colors on a mid-engine sports car than bright red, and this one wears it quite well. In fact, with only 5,500 miles on the full build, you can really see the gloss of a fresher quality application. The vibrant presentation draws attention to this one, and you're likely going to have people asking you what it is. Because while some of us know Fieros, this one is very different. It starts with the chopped roofline. It allows for a steeper rake of the windshield and an overall lower profile that unlocks a whole new style as the proportions now look like a sleeker exotic machine. This smoother style is furthered by details like the car's waistline trim color-matched in red, deleted door handles, and an air extractor hood that looks like it was borrowed from a GT40. And the hints of black on the flying buttresses and tinted taillights go great with the upgraded ASA 17-inch wheels. It makes for an overall package that's unique but unmistakably sporty.

It's great to be able to pop the doors open with the key fob, and now they are on a suicide hinge. So it almost feels like getting into a modern Rolls-Royce coupe, and the supple leather that awaits you inside drives home this premium feeling. This has a style look, including the custom dash that flows into the door panels. Plus, you have the best modern conveniences, like power windows, a Kenwood AM/FM stereo, Harman Kardon sound system, and cold-blowing air conditioning. And the driver's seat feels like a true Italian exotic with a Momo steering wheel on a tilt column, drilled metal pedals, and a dash dominated by crisp and clean Classic Instrument white-faced gauges.

Many believed the Fiero could have handled a much larger powerplant than what went in at the factory. But what GM didn't accomplish, a few independent spirits did. So this Fiero backs up its supercar looks with a 350 cubic-inch ZZ4 performance crate V8. And its full polished style will make sure that you will proudly show off this upgrade. The fuel-injected powerhouse is reported to produce 385 hp. The added power is mated to a four-speed manual transmission, and this feeds a Quaife limited-slip differential. So now this is a well-balanced mid-engine machine with plenty of power on tap, that also has a fully independent suspension, the Fiero's legendary lively steering, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, and low-profile sport tires.

This is an interesting build that showcases the potential we all knew the Fiero had. Best of all, this custom is surprisingly affordable. So you know this fun-to-drive, one-of-one Pontiac won't stay available long. Call now!
