Vehicle Description
This 1937 Ford 3-Window Wild Rod Wedge Roof coupe is an awesome
custom with a slick street machine style, fuel-injected V8,
overdrive transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, loaded A/C
interior, and a fully adjustable air ride suspension. And what
might just be the coolest part of all is that this one was built
for you to really be able to enjoy the drive.
There are two elements here that are quite distinct. First, you
know this is the kind of custom where all eyes will be on you.
Also, it currently has a very driver-friendly attitude that you
don't often see with builds like this. So you're looking at a car
that can go anywhere and turn heads everywhere. These super-slick
Oze bodies are one of the coolest Ford-based creations around, and
they have all the right touches to impress. You see this in places
like the deeply-dipping grille, piano-hinge style hood, and suicide
doors with shaved door handles (you pop them open from your fob.)
The paint is a cool two-tone of Root Beer and Bronze Sunset by
Sikkens. It's separated by orange pinstripes and gold inlay that
really shows this was a thoughtfully built custom. The full finish
fits the car's driver-easy attitude. So it has a good gloss to get
you respect at the stoplights, but nothing too drastic that will
make you nervous about having a little fun in-between the
stoplights. And of course, on a modern clearcoat finish car like
this, you're just a professional detail away from unlocking a
show-ready shine. Of course, it wouldn't be a hot rod without an
aggressive stance thanks to the 17/20-inch front/rear torque thrust
staggered wheels. But for the best stance of them all, you can
adjust the air ride suspension to make sure this coupe sits nice
and low when you park it at the cruise-in.
The custom presentation continues inside. The door panels have been
sculpted to flow right into the dash, and the exterior's gold inlay
stripe even follows this, too. You get a terrific set of
well-bolstered leather bucket seats. The Billet Specialties
steering wheel is on a tilt column, and beyond that is a full set
of AutoMeter gauges that look perfect in your retro ride. As with
any good custom build, there are plenty of modern conveniences for
you and your passenger. This includes power windows, an AM/FM
stereo, air ride controls, and cold-blowing air conditioning.
The engine bay shows off just exactly how this car is both a
stunner and a driver all in one. This has a fuel-injected LT1 V8.
It looks great with smooth inner fender walls, plenty of polished
components, and even a color-matched cover that reminds you that
this is a Corvette's heart. This performance crate motor is
upgraded with pieces like an LT4 cam and Jet Hot coated headers.
It's a strong powerhouse that's also ready for Sunday drives. After
all, the four-speed automatic transmission has highway-friendly
overdrive. This one also features a Heidts independent front
suspension, four-link rear, rack-and-pinion steering, and
four-wheel disc brakes.
