220 SE 4 door, manual transmission sedan with original exterior paint in dark green with tan interior. Gas engine, 4 speed that's a pleasure to drive!
What l know about the car is that a gentleman in CA bought it new then shipped it to FL for his retirement. lt was purchased in an estate sale by Titus Weflen with The Titan Motor Company, Inc, out of Williston, FL., and l purchased it from them in 2018. CLEAR TITLE.
Initial work in restoration of the car done by Ron Ganster, who has "worked on cars owned by some pretty famous people-- George Foreman, Dan Rowan, even Lucille Ball-- who had a gold Rolls Royce" - https://www.walb.com/story/5593851/nashville-old-car-capitol-of-south-georgia/
Car is in great driving condition thanks to updated carburetor, electrical lines and brakes, as well as routine service through Jim Crumley at Crumley's Compound here in Savannah. They can be reached at (912) 239-5422.
Odometer and speedometer not working but other gauges do. Odometer is just over 75k... Ron Ganster said considering the interior, this is likely close to the reality. I've driven the car 3k miles at most within these last 2 years of owning.
The paint is original and Car Spa of Savannah has restored the exterior finish beautifully - https://carspa.com.
There is rust throughout body especially in rear floorboard - the weatherstripping all needs to be replaced. The headliner at the rear window needs reattaching, but it's perfect from there to the front. The back driver's side window is not working and the sideview mirror needs replacing. The fan for heating likely needs work. Also, NO AC... but triangular windows in the front direct the air nicely. Lights and radio work well! Interior is original tan Mercedes "leather" or vinyl in excellent shape. l have beads on the front seats only for my own, perhaps tacky, aesthetic.
It's a sweet little car that l've called Edgar Bradley Stevens. He turned 50 this year and more than ever, is a dream car for afternoon drives and trips to the beach. He needs and deserves a good home and just a bit more investment to become really extraordinary. Since buying, I've acquired a large dog who simply doesn't fit and a new job that I have to drive for daily.
I'll happily offer more pictures and video chat upon request.
