Body and Paint Review
The sheet metal on this car was in excellent condition, no signs of
any rust repair ever being done, the paint and body work was very
straight, the original appearing Reef Turquoise paint was laid down
and looked like excellent original paint. All of the trim was
polished, the black vinyl top was perfect, it had the correct
single painted black pinstripe. The chrome bumpers were like a
factory original car would have. Original T3 headlights, nice front
grills (the 1966 GTO was one of the first cars to have plastic
injected grills) the covered tail lights were in excellent
condition. All of the glass was clear (W/S tinted) and in good
working order. Even had the correct antenna mast. The door, hood,
and trunk gaps all looked slightly better than factory 1966.
Tires and Wheels
The PHS shows this car was delivered with standard white wall tires
and beanie hub caps, it has been upgraded to the correct 66 Rally I
wheels with black center and correct lug nuts, and aftermarket
Coker red line tires.
Interior Review
The correct optional Rally gauges showed 76,255 miles and looked
perfect in the last year the GTO would have a wood veneer IP, the
plastic/wood steering wheel was a nice addition and freshly
restored with no signs of wear. All of the trim was correct and in
excellent condition, even the rear-view mirror showed no signs of
wear, probably an NOS unit at the time of the restoration, seat
covers were new repo, nice black headliner and carpet, non-original
floor mats, deluxe seat belts, AM radio with rear speaker, Hurst
shifter with a black ball and nice factory console. The car does
have the original protecto plate.
Engine Compartment Review
The under hood appearance is factory correct, with the correct
semi-gloss black inner fenders, bottom of the hood and core
support. The WT engine is correctly painted metallic blue,
everything appears factory correct, single master cylinder,
declutching fan with correct TS code 4 core Harrison radiator, repo
R59 Delco battery, all wiring clean factory correct, correct
radiator cap and warning decal. The correct factory 1966 Tri-Power
was added as was the reproduction
