1962 Ford Thunderbird coupe is powered by a 428ci FE V8 paired with
a six-speed Tremec manual transmission, and it is finished in black
over matching vinyl. Additional modifications include 4.11:1
gearing, four-wheel disc brakes, upgraded suspension, 17? wheels,
digital instrumentation, air conditioning, and a modern stereo
system. The car was produced at Ford's Wixom, Michigan facility in
October 1961, 'Bullet Bird' is now offered with work invoices,
product literature, and a clean Oklahoma title in my name. price is
very firm. Finished from the factory in Sahara Rose (L), the body
was repainted a very nice shiny black. Features include a driver's
side mirror, shaved body trim, and a color-matched rear bumper.
Halibrand-style 17? wheels are equipped with three-eared
knockoff-style center caps and are mounted with BFGoodrich g-Force
tires. The braking system is modified with four-wheel discs, and
suspension modifications include air shocks fitted at all four
corners. The black interior is accented with polished trim along
the door panels, dashboard fascia, and center console. A modern
climate-control system sourced from Classic Auto Air has been
installed, and further additions include a Hurst shifter, an
aftermarket stereo system, and a push-button start feature. The
three-spoke steering wheel with a Cobra-branded center cap is
mounted to the factory Swing-Away steering column and fronts
replacement Speedhut instrumentation including a 180-mph
speedometer, a tachometer, and a digital odometer displaying just
over 4k miles. A 428ci FE V8 was fitted in place of the factory
390ci V8 during prior ownership. The engine is .030? overbore,
pistons sourced from Diamond Racing, and shaft-mounted rocker arms
along with finned aluminum valve covers, a Cobra-branded air
cleaner housing, an aluminum radiator, and an MSD ignition. The
dual exhaust system is equipped with a pair of Thrush mufflers that
were fitted in 2019, at which time a tune-up was performed.
