This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle 454 SS Tribute gets it right. After
all, you have an iconic classic in a terrific color combo. Plus,
it's a true muscle car with a bucket seat interior,
four-on-the-floor, and serious big block power.
The appeal of this coupe is as clear as black and white...
literally. The factory-correct Classic White has a nice luster and
shine from a respray later in life. And the high-gloss finish loves
to highlight the gentle curves in the profile that make this such
an iconic classic. But this Chevelle also has a dark side. The
painted black stripes join the blacked-out grille and black rear
panel to create a timeless contrast that gives this one plenty of
distinction. The intimidation factor is turned up a notch with
great Super Sport upgrades, like the badging, hood pins, SS wheels,
and a cowl induction hood. More than being a complete SS tribute,
don't forget to check out the fundamentals. The doors that shut
solid, clean glass, form-hugging bumpers, and the pliable
weather-stripping is are all signs of thoughtful quality.
We love it when the exterior accent color is a preview of the
interior color, and this one has a deep dark presentation
everywhere, including the seats, carpeting, headliner, and dash.
This has a true classic appeal, but as you look over all the
pictures, you'll notice some great subtle upgrades. This includes a
retro-style AM/FM stereo with 6x9 inch deck lid speakers. But this
will always be a true driver's machine at its heart. That's why you
have bucket seats, round gauges w/tach, auxiliary readouts, and a
Hurst short-throw shifter.
The first glance at the engine bay, and you see proper big block
power in a tidy presentation. It's a 454 cubic-inch V8 motor,
dressed in the bright orange block, black Chevrolet valve covers,
and a matching air topper. It inhales deeply with a Holley
four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with added power and
authority as headers feed the dual exhaust. Best of all, the
four-speed manual transmission means you have complete control over
the motor and its rumbling soundtrack. And because this has been
built to be an all-around great cruising classic, you also get
power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and wide BF Goodrich
radial T/As.
This is the Chevelle that gets the look, power, and features just
right. So if you want a muscle car icon with all the right
features, call today!
