Vehicle Description
This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro 454 SS/RS tribute has a strong and
powerful big block under the hood and the control of
four-on-the-floor. So yes, this certainly has the power and poise
to back up its looks of a mean and dark icon.
The upgrade to black paint was done later in life, and we all know
why. On a first-gen Camaro, it's both timeless and intimidating -
all in the first glance. This was done around the early 2000s, and
it continues to have a good gloss while delivering an easy driver
kind of quality. Of course, the real quality image is seen in how
straight the panels are. And of course, the black goes terrific
with the Rally Sport's front end with hidden headlights (currently
they are manually operated.) There are plenty more aggressive
upgrades, like the Super Sport's cowl hood, front air dam, badges,
and the D80 rear spoiler. And the correct stinger stripe looks
terrific painted on in white. And while you'll like the look of the
brightwork on the bumpers and trim, also don't forget to notice the
15-inch Rally wheels that were first reserved for the Z/28
coupes.
Not only was the exterior upgraded with the best Camaro features in
mind, but so was the interior, too. After all, the houndstooth
cloth inserts in the seats are icons all on their own. And the door
panels, carpeting, headliner, and the other fundamentals look good
dressed in black. And a car like this was built with the driver in
mind. There's a grippy three-spoke Chevy steering wheel, a large
tach under the dash, and that goes well with the Hurst floor
shifter.
For a lucky few, Chevrolet put a big block under the hood of the
first-gen Camaro...But none of those even got one as big as this.
It's the mighty 454 cubic-inch V8. And the upgrades didn't stop
there. It has an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock
Performer intake, an aluminum radiator, and a full MSD package
(ignition, distributor, and coil, plug wires.) The motor fires up
with authority and releases a great sound through the dual exhaust.
This provides strong power, and the four-speed manual transmission
puts you in the center of the action. Plus, you've got a strong
12-bolt rear end, Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires, and front disc
brakes.
This Camaro has all the features you love and the power that makes
you want to drive. So it's an irresistible icon that you need to
take home. Call now!
