Vehicle Description
We love a good Mopar because they seem to know how to pack plenty
of power into one good total package. 1974 Plymouth Duster that
pays tribute to the 340 performance line, but it actually has a
larger 360ci V8 under the hood. And this enhanced muscle coupe is
also offered for an affordable price.
The Duster has a good look with Coke-bottle curves, wide chrome
bumpers, and a well-chiseled style. So there will always be a
fundamental attractiveness here. The value price leaves room in
your budget if you want to upgrade the paint. But we like how it
already tells what this car is all about. After all, it just seems
to make its performance presence clear to everyone as black and
white. That's why the best elements contrast the white with the
darkness on the full-length sports stripe, blackout grille, black
rear accents, and a blackout hood that looks like it was inspired
by Trans-Am racing. And while those polished wheels are certainly
not black, they have their own intimidation factor by using a
14/15-inch front/rear stance and larger rear tires for an
aggressive stance.
The black accents of the exterior get you ready for the full black
interior. It's quite basic and complete, but that's kind of the
point of a car like this. There's no real extra fluff here because
the performance Dusters were great for utilizing the most from its
V8 power by being a smaller/lightweight package. So this one
doesn't have too many superfluous features. Instead, it just gives
you the right driver-focused upgrades, like a B&M Quicksilver
floor shifter and a full set of AutoMeter Phantom gauges with large
speedo and tach.
While the callouts on the outside say 340 to get Mopar fans excited
about the classic power-package time level, this one actually takes
it a step further. It has a larger 360 cubic-inch V8. They also
added the right performance pieces, like a Holley four-barrel
carburetor, Edelbrock Performer intake, and long tube headers. And
the mild cam really helps make a great tune out of the dual
exhaust. Plus, it has the right supporting pieces, including, an
electric fuel pump, newer plug wires, cast valve covers, and an
aluminum radiator. The V8 fires up readily, and it pulls strong
thanks to the upgraded stall on the three-speed automatic
transmission. And power steering, power brakes, and front discs
deliver a solid all-around driver.
This Duster has the look you love, the performance you want, and
the price you can afford. That makes for a great total package you
need to take home. Call today!!!
