This 1969 Ford Mustang Convertible is a pretty cool car. The
previous owner has owned the car since 1976 and has driven it
occasionally in the summers. It shows 70,792 original Miles and the
interior is completely original. At one point he did do a complete
exterior restoration which included the underside and engine
compartment. He also did a mechanical restoration which included
rebuilding the engine. This car was always stored in a climate
controlled warehouse. The body and paint on this car is excellent!!
Everything is very straight on the body and it appears to be all
original metal. When it was professionally painted it was done in
it's original color of Lime Gold. It is very very nice paint. The
car was disassembled and put on a rotisserie for the paint and the
underside was also repainted at that time. The underside is very
nice and was very detailed when restored. It was then sprayed with
a rust inhibitor. All of the original chrome and stainless is still
in excellent condition. The interior is all original with the
exception of new carpet and an aftermarket stereo. The interior is
Ivy Gold and still in great condition. the drivers seat does have
some seams separating in the bottom cushion. Th power convertible
top is in great condition and works well. We found all of the
lights, blinkers, horn, heat, and wipers to be working.
This Mustang starts easily and runs and drives great!! We were told
the 302 V8 engine is the original. When the exterior was restored
the engine was removed and totally rebuilt because the owner wanted
it to look new. It runs strong with no issues or red flags. The
transmission is the C4 Automatic that shifts nice. The rear axle is
a Ford 9 Inch with 2.79 Gears. The last owner also added a nice set
of GT Style Wheels. This car does have power steering and power
brakes. This is a car you drive and enjoy or drive to your local
car show!! We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first
hand and accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our
pictures are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an
accurate representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures
and show you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
