Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1978 Mustang Mach 1 which is in good driver condition and a nice entry level muscle car. This Mustang Mach 1 features a good paint job in Red, a nice black interior, and a running 302 engine with an automatic transmission. This is a factory Mach 1 which was born with a v6, but now has a 302 V8 which looks at home in the engine bay.
Exterior:
The Red paint is in good overall condition and the bottom blackened area looks great with the Mach 1 decals. Car was painted years ago but still shows pretty well. The bumpers and in good shape but the rear bumper on the drivers side has pulled up some as seen in photos. The hood does not fit perfectly and is lifted up a bit on the passenger side. Wheels are 13" OEM wheels and they are in good condition with 13" tires with good tread left. The rear hatch works as it should and all weather stripping and window sweeps are in good condition.
Interior:
The black vinyl interior of this Cobra is in good overall condition. The seat covers are in good overall shape and show no excessive wear or stains. The door panels are stock and in great shape and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The carpet is in ok shape but was pieced together.
The headliner is in good shape and not sagging with no rips or stains. The stereo appears to be original and is in working order. The cigarette lighter works as does the heater but the fan is weak.
Mechanical:
The 302 engine runs good and shows well and the automatic transmission is in working order. This Mach 1 runs and drives decently and has good power. True dual exhaust was added and gives this Mach 1 a nice exhaust tone at idle and cruising speeds. Rear air shocks were added. The engine bay area is nicely detailed as seen in the photos and shows mostly stock in appearance. The brakes were serviced with new calipers and brake hoses and some brake lines. A new alternator was added and new battery. Previous owner made a handwritten list of items fixed and added to this Mach 1. A front end alignment is needed.
