For Sale: 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS in Fremont, California

Vehicle Description

Beautiful, solid classic 1967 True SS 138 Chevelle built in Atlanta. I have had this amazing gem for 15 years but I have other plans now on this beauty needs to be in the hands of someone who can enjoy it and drive it more than I have the time for.

I have put 12K miles on this car in 15 year but just over 8K since the entire drivetrain was overhauled. Here are the major details details added over the years

2006: The car was painted Bolero Red by the previous owner and the interior kit was installed putting the interior in mostly perfect condition. The bucket seat frames were old and rusted though and so I purchased brand new ones with springs and had the seats overstuffed. Showroom condition seats make all the difference and they are still like new today.

New custom steering pump fluid reservoir installed.

New rear bumper installed- keeping the rare bumper guard configuration on both bumpers in the process.

Frame was given the once over and given a clean bill of health.

Note: The engine was known to be not the original. Drove it for over 4 years before swapping out GM crate engine (see below). The speedo cable was inoperable and mileage showing 37K. True Mileage Unknown but this was put in working order. 14K miles since then.

2010- Moser Engineering 12 bolt Posi 3.73 complete rear axle with disc brakes. Willwood Master cylinder and Power booster added same time.

2011:Deluxe crate engine with Holley 850 carb, 502 HP, 545 ft-lbs of torque installed by Fremont Chevrolet. Front end completed dissambled cleaned and wheel wells painted. Inoperable A/C, fan blower and heater core removed and a custom blank installed.

Less than 8K on the engine which runs perfectly and is super strong.

Custom dual exhaust system installed.

Hotchkiss 4-link kit installed to handle the power to the rear axle.

New Coil Springs all round.

2012 - New Aluminum radiator installed.

2013- American Racing Torque Thurst II 17" Wheels, on my second set of tires that still have good life in them.

2015- $7000+ Sound system installed with following specs:

- Hertz 12+ Subwoofer+ Chamber built into the rear deck feeding into new rear deck with 6x9 Hertz speakers and a hidden 2nd battery that runs off of ACC key position to allow hours of parked music play. Fully careted rear trunk.

- 950 Watt Hertz Amplifier with professionally installed wiring and protection switches between the two batteries in the vehicle.

- Custom fiberglass Kick Panels with Mid range and tweeters from Hertz

- Dual speakers in the former dash speaker location behind the factor AM radio which is disconnected.

- Kenwood receiver (removable) installed in custom fit enclosure in the glove box, with remote and can be hidden.

- New heavy duty alternator equipped.

2020- Art Carr from CPT SoCal built me a custom 2004R 4 Speed Automatic and my mechanix here realigned the entire drive line, new motor mounts, new high strength cross member, rerouted the trans cooler lines, and installed a 4 speed console shift kit and neutral safety Switch. Less than 500 miles on the new trans and it runs and shifts super strong.

Too many other small improvements over the years to mention.

I have a 15" Full Spare tire and a stick tire jack storage kit for the trunk.

I have new window regulator and felt kits for both doors at the drivers window rattles a bit in certain positions but otherwise is fine and the right window is a bit stiff from lack of use but fully functional.

I have a set of lowered springs that I did not like but virtually new in the box.

I have a full car cover for this model that fits perfectly.

The car was professionally appraised at well over $50K years ago and has only been improved more since then.

I have updated the asking price to $49950 or OBO. No lowball, no joy rides, serious buyers who know and love Chevelles only please and have the $$ to buy this gem of a car. I will support pre-purchase inspections at a local garage of your choice.

If it is still posted, it is still available.
