This 1952 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible is a super rare, well-documented example of Oldsmobile's top-of-the-line cruiser in 1952. Oldsmobile's 98 dates back to the early 40s, when Oldsmobile transitioned from its letter-named cars ("F" and "L" series) to a numbering system (60, 70, and 90 series), with the 90 series sitting as the top dog. By 1948, Oldsmobile had completely redesigned its product offerings to align with its "Futuramic" marketing campaign. In 1952, the Ninety-Eight was the flagship car for Oldsmobile with the convertible model being the most expensive and rarest of them all. Today, the '52 Ninety Eight Convertible remains an ultra rare car with this one being 1 of 19 known to exist. Powering this 98 Convertible is an Oldsmobile Rocket 303 Cubic Inch V8 Engine with a single 4 barrel carburetor that pushed out 160 horsepower in its day. The Rocket 303 is mated up to a Super Hydra-Matic Automatic Transmission that anybody can drive with ease.
