This 1965 Pontiac Lemans GTO has a big 455 V8 and
four-on-the-floor. Oh yeah, you know you're already going to love
it even before you check out the cool color combo and vintage style
of this enhanced muscle car hardtop.
This was born with the GTO option. So it has the pedigree to go
with its presence. After all, we love the granddaddy of all muscle
machines with its stacked headlights, hood scoop, hardtop profile,
full GTO badging, and artful taillight arrangements. This one
traded in its factory light blue for something closer to Pontiac's
deeper/darker shades that looks great on a powerful coupe. It's a
driver-quality finish, and the darker shade makes for a better
contrast to have the bumpers, bezels, rockers, and other brightwork
stand out a little more. A nice set of polished American Racing
Torq Thrust wheels add to both the sporty feeling and classic
chrome style.
The light blue inside against the dark blue exterior gives this
muscle car a sophisticated color combo. The interior was an update
later in life, but it was done with a careful eye. The result is
the classic premium Pontiac arrowhead pattern on the seatbacks, but
upholstery that feels far fresher than 1965. And a well-done look
on the door panels, headliner, and darker carpeting add to the
quality impression. There's plenty of the right classic pieces that
are still there for display, including the AM radio. But more than
just vintage, this one also remembers how to be a great driver's
machine. That's why you have bucket seats, a center console
in-between, an upgraded sports steering wheel, and a Hurst floor
shifter.
The engine bay has a tidy style that makes it easy to put on
display. And speaking of display, those three bright air grabbers
in a row have the unmistakable look of Tri-Power. This one is
currently set up for breathing through the middle carb, but you
have the full package for those who want to unleash it all in the
future. Regardless of how this one inhales, it's feeding a big
motor. This GTO now has a larger 455 cubic-inch V8. This power
package has been installed with care, and it even has good
supporting components like an aluminum radiator and a new water
pump. The full control of the four-speed manual transmission really
makes this fun out on the road. Add in power steering, power
brakes, and front discs w/drilled & slotted rotors, and this
powerful GTO is a fine all-around classic.
This is a distinct big power GTO that knows how to leave a lasting
impression. So don't let it slip away, call today!
