This 1940 Ford Deluxe sedan has been partially restored back to
original and is an outstanding example of this iconic Ford model.
The restoration included a careful respray of Ford Black. All
chromework is very nice and factory steel rims w/caps mount period
correct Custom Classic 670x15 bias-ply wide-whites. The taupe cloth
interior has been totally refreshed and an AM radio and gauge
package are mounted in the dash. A heater assembly is tucked below
along with a second gauge package. The Ford is powered by a rebuilt
flathead V8 donated by a 1948 Mercury. It is fitted with a Model 94
2-barrel carb and dual exhausts and is mated to a three-speed
manual transmission with column shift. The original 6-volt
electrical system functions well and hydraulic drum brakes handle
stopping requirements. This classic '40 Deluxe Sedan is a good
runner and stunning piece of Ford history - it belongs in your Blue
