The 430 Scuderia is the limited-edition evil twin of Ferrari's
highly civilized F430 supercar. Some 220 lbs. lighter at 2,975
lbs., the biggest visual clues to this weight reduction are inside
the Scuderia's cockpit, its surroundings look cooler, simpler, and
more like a race car. The trim is carbon fiber, floor mats are gone
in favor of aluminum plating, missing sill covers reveal the
beautiful welds of the aluminum space frame, and the seats are
shaped like works of art. Additionally, the exterior detailing is
squarer-cut, more aerodynamically efficient and businesslike.
The exhaust sound from the 4.3-liter V-8 is more feral than the
F430, and horsepower is increased to 503. Indeed, with Ferrari's
crown prince, Michael Schumacher at the helm, the 430 Scuderia
circulated the fast track at Fiorano in 1:25.0, equaling Dario
Benuzzi's best run in the stupendously thrilling Enzo.
Impressively, the 430 Scuderia is capable of a blistering 0-to-60
time of just 3.1 seconds compared to the 651 horsepower Enzo's
comparatively pedestrian 3.4.
This stunning Rosso Scuderia over Black Alcantara example was
delivered new by Cauley Ferrari of West Bloomfield, MI in January
2010, and was optioned with the U.S. carbon package, a fully
trimmed trunk, rev counter in red, Alcantara upholstery, carbon
fiber steering wheel with LED shift lights, navigation system with
Bluetooth, Nart racing stripes, carbon fiber racing seats, and
special contrast stitching in red. Collector-owned since new, it
has recorded a mere 7,830 miles over the past eleven years and has
received constant maintenance despite its limited use. Previously
sold and serviced by Canepa, we are grateful to have the
opportunity to once more offer this highly sought after lightweight
limited-edition 430 Scuderia to our client base.
Upon returning to Canepa the 430 Scuderia was subjected to a
comprehensive inspection within our Service department and found to
be in the same exceptional condition as previously recorded, having
covered just 50 additional miles. To be sold with a pre-delivery
Service, full concourse-show-level "Canepa Difference" Detail,
owners manuals, service records, and tools. The 430 Scuderia is the
last of its kind, still retaining an analog driving experience, yet
able to keep pace with many of today's high-performance exotic
cars.
