Vehicle Description
Here's a rare 1936 Nash Ambassador Super 8 Touring Sedan ready to
view in the Maxmotive Pittsburgh Showroom. The engine is the Twin
Ignition Straight Eight. Twin Ignition means two coils and two
spark plugs for each cylinder. This well preserved Nash has been in
the same family since 1982 and is being offered for the first time
since. An avid enthusiast and member of the Nash Car Club of
America, the previous owner provided a binder packed with
information on specifications, brochures, and correspondence. This
fine example presents as original with the original Regent Maroon
exterior color and plush tan cloth interior. It's a stately car on
a 125 inch wheelbase, with reverse-opening back doors, decked out
in Nash accessories for a high-end luxury look. Chrome Nash fog
lights and unity lights lead the way, fender skirts add visual
length, and a column-mounted auto fan and cigarette box provide
period-correct convenience. A Stewart Warner heater is also on
board. Correct Nash wheel covers and Goodrich Silvertown whitewall
tires provide the finishing vintage touch. A spare tire is included
as well. Believed to be a true survivor, this historic 1936 Nash
Ambassador Super 8 Touring Sedan is an exciting find. See details
