Powered by an angry Don Howell Built 327 Small block with Erickson
Headers, Hilborn Injection, Velocity Stacks, Vertex Mag, Engle Cam
and Valvetrain and Venolia Pistons. It is paired to a Borg-Warner 4
Speed with a Schiefer Clutch, Wilcap Flywheel, and a Hurst Shifter.
Out back the car has a Pontiac Rear end with 5.38:1 gears. This car
broke the Irwindale Raceway B/Gas Record with a 10.50 @ 140 mph.
The car has been featured in Hot Rod Magazine TWICE (1965, and
2005) and was also in the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in 2006. The
body is all steel except for the nose which was Hand Fabricated by
Don Nowell. Don was a Perfectionist, so all of the fiberglass
components look identical to 37 Chevy Sheetmetal. This is a
wonderful opportunity to purchase a piece of REAL Gasser History.
These cars do not come up often, and this one has a wonderful story
