Vehicle Description
This rugged 1968 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser, with just 32 miles on
its rebuilt engine, is ready and waiting at the Maxmotive
Pittsburgh Showroom. It has the 3.9L Inline 6 cylinder engine and
3-speed manual transmission, and it's 4-wheel Drive with a
two-speed transfer case. The engine compartment is clean and well
taken care of as shown by the new belts, hoses, and clamps. Yet the
original firewall tag is in place, verifying the authenticity of
this "FJ40L" (left-hand drive). This one has had air conditioning
added (it is also heated), and a Boss sound system with Bluetooth
connectivity. Red exterior paint and gray seats are an attractive
combination. It also sports the folding dual-facing rear seats, and
a new gauge package featuring a tachometer. The Original Owners
Manual comes with the vehicle, which is not only a valuable
collectible, but a very informative aid in caring for your FJ, rich
with specifications and tips from the manufacturer. It comes with
fresh 31x10.5R15LT all terrain tires, including a spare, and a Warn
winch is mounted up front. Straight and clean, this is a fine
example of a very desirable 1968 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. As
Andrew Maness of Jalopnik observes, "An old Land Cruiser isn't a
vehicle that needs to be immaculate to be enjoyed, but it sure
doesn't hurt if it is." See detailed photos at www.maxmotive.com.
