This is an amazing example of modern muscle. You don't see these cars every day and they're getting rarer to find. The Torrid Red is an exceptional hot rod color, and the car has very light miles for its age. This is the last year of Pontiac GTO's made, and there was a limited number made, so this may be a future classic in due time. . It packs one of the best V8's ever made in the engine bay, hooked up to an automatic transmission putting out 400hp out to the wheels! It is still comfortable enough to drive every day, the interior design and overall quality makes it well worth the price tag. These are considered GM'S most rare muscle cars of this era. This car had one owner who recently passed, and the car needs some TLC from a car enthusiast willing to repair some things and get it back to showroom level. Premier versions of this car go for mid $20k and up when in fine condition. We have moderated the price due to some needed work including a new air conditioning condenser, a driver side sunshade, some TLC for dings and scratches around the exterior, trunk lock needs repair, and the trunk lid and hood lid pistons need to be repaired, as they no longer hold up trunk or hood. Car has brand new wheels, struts, shocks, and has a clean record with no accidents. It drives aggressive quick, fast and very smooth with new struts and shocks. Ready to drive and enjoy now, but will take some needed repairs to get in full showroom condition. Needs a loving hot rod enthusiast to restore to full life. When people on the street see it, it draws attention and still brings fellow racers at the lights.
EXTERIOR: The paint is such a great color. When the sun hits it, it has a very deep glossy red to it. The exterior needs some TLC with need to fill some scratches, door dings, and small dents from a ball strike. Grandpa attended a lot of his grandsons baseball games. There are some light swirls here and there in the clear coat but no major blemishes that can't be touched up with a nice buff. It has a sporty look to the front end. The hood nostrils along with the grill inserts gives it an aggressive look face on. From the rear it looks nice and wide and is tied in with a nice rear spoiler.
INTERIOR: Interior is in good shape. It is like new with light wear on the seats or carpet. The leather front seats have side bolsters that hold you in place nicely yet are still comfy enough to drive this across country and are only lightly worn. It is packed with 10 speaker audio, 6disc cd changer, cruise control, 1 touch window control, remote keyless entry, water temp gauge, oil pressure gauge, battery voltage gauge. Needs new covers on the back seat headrests due to sun damage split at the seams.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: When you pop the hood, you will find a very powerful LS2 6.0 V8, everything is stock and runs great.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk compartment is fully carpeted. Although it's not the biggest space available for a trunk, it definitely has enough room to hold luggage, groceries and your golf clubs. Requires lock repair and new piston to hold up the trunk lid.
UNDERSIDE: Underneath is exceptionally clean for its age - no rust. The pictures speak for themselves really. Everything is stock with the exception of like new tires and a exhaust which gives this car just the right amount of rumble and tone.
