Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Super clean restored Chevy 3100! High-quality
original-style resto in great condition! Classic GM truck!
BODY OVERVIEW: The beauty of this 3100 is the cleanliness and
sharpness of the restoration. The body is straight, clean, and
unencumbered by large amounts of chrome. The chrome bumpers add
just enough bling, and the wood bed kit and wood side rails are the
icing on the cake. There is a shallow dent in the hood, but it
doesn't seem to take away from the curb appeal!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Much like the body, the paint simply
looks great! The metallic gray adds an extra bit of attractiveness
without taking away from the original styling. The paint has a
bright shine and looks great with the red painted steel wheels.
This appears to be a restoration that is a few years old, though it
doesn't show! However, there are some very light scratches and
normal signs of wear that you get from even infrequent use on a
restored vehicle.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: As one would expect, the interior is
restored with new parts and materials. Though among the many spare
parts included is the original steering wheel, the aftermarket
wooden wheel is a tasteful upgrade that gives the interior a little
more flavor. The seat has been recovered in a comfortable black
vinyl, and is in great condition. Even the rubber floor covering
looks nice! Like the exterior, there are some minor normal signs of
use, but the interior is highly presentable.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Continuing with the mostly original theme,
under the hood is a 235ci Chevrolet inline 6-cylinder engine with a
dual carburetor setup. The six runs great, sounds great, and is
more than adequate power for casual cruising. Equipped with a
column-shift 3-speed manual transmission, this Chevrolet 3100 is
sure to provide an authentic vintage truck experience. It shifts
smoothly, and is surprisingly easy to drive even without power
steering. This truck is also equipped with both the Freewheeling
and Hill Holder options.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The clean look and original
styling. Sometimes, it's hard to beat that original look!
Additionally, the original steering wheel and a body-color grille
are included with the sale.
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: There's truly not much to
dislike about this one.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The only item marked as inoperable is the
heater, though the blower motor does operate as expected.
Additionally, if this vehicle is purchased to be driven rather than
displayed, it will need new tires.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking for a fun,
unique truck that hasn't been overly modified should be all over
this! If you're after a more original-style restored Chevy truck,
this could be a good fit.
