A long bed 1979 Ford F-100 Ranger like this was once built for
getting the job done. So it's great to find a V8-powered pickup
today that still has a work-ready attitude and also now has vintage
style thrown into the mix, too.
The Ranger package had an upper-level feel that wanted to show off
premium style. And that well-fitting full-length trim now also
serves as a great way to show off the straightness of the classic
sheet metal. And there are nice details, like the newer chrome
front bumper that helps draw added attention to the special square
headlight front end of the '79 F-Series. We're told this truck was
given a significant investment about 15 years ago in everything
from the motor to the paint. And that seems to give this one the
right attitude. For example, the red has a good gloss in the
sunshine, but it has an aged-in attitude that will never have you
accused of owning a trailer queen. After all, we love a long bed
pickup for having the look of the working hero, and the full bed
liner lets this continue to live up to that impression today. So
while the value price leaves room in the budget of those who want
to make improvements, this one already has a ton of appeal in its
honesty.
The solid close of the door is part of that classic truck feeling,
and so are details like the rugged rubber floor mats, dual-spoke
steering wheel, and stylish bench seat. And of course, nothing
beats the breeze that comes from opening up the sliding rear
window. This is a premium Ranger, and so you get little details,
including wood-like trim and factory air conditioning (it will need
servicing to blow cold again.) And to make sure your classic
cruiser also has good driving music, you have an upgraded AM/FM
digital tuner with aux input for your iPod.
Under the hood is Ford's 302 cubic-inch V8 topped with a Holley
four-barrel carburetor. We were told that this was installed during
the restoration, and it fires up and runs with the confidence of a
fresher powerhouse. The three-speed automatic transmission was also
added at the same time as the motor for the feeling of a confident
driver. Add in power steering, power brakes, front discs, and
modern Kumho tires, and this is the kind of pickup that loves to
spend Saturdays on the country lanes.
Complete with owner's manual, this Ford has the vintage look, the
right features, and the right price. So you know this is an
irresistible deal. Call today!!!
