This 1968 Dodge Charger R/T Tribute has all the best classic
features you love, right down to a big block under the hood. And as
you look over this hardtop, you'll also recognize some nice details
and upgrades that keep this a desirable classic.
The blacked-out hidden headlight front end, wide stance,
louver-style trim (on both the hood and doors), and big dual
exhaust tips are all part of an upgraded attitude on this R/T
tribute. So when a coupe is this intimidating, it needs to be
finished in black. There were more recent investments in this car,
and so it gives you little upgrades, like the extra gloss in the
black. And the Ridler wheels are the perfect addition. They have
plenty of shine to go with the chrome bumpers, and they are also
staggered at 18/20 inches front/rear. This stance goes with this
Mopar's coke-bottle profile to really add emphasis to where the
power meets the pavement. And while this one is absolutely mean, it
also has the right hint of premium. They took the time to give this
some cool classic details, like the black vinyl roof and even the
turn signals in the hood are working, too!
The white racing stripes on the rear are a nice contrast to the
black, and they also give you a preview of the white interior. This
was an upgrade later in life, and so the seats, door panels, and
headliner all have a fresh and bright look. Plus, there are the
right details, like working courtesy lights and map pockets in the
door panels. And the black capering means you aren't afraid to let
family and friends hop in with their shoes on. Of course in a car
like this, the driver takes priority. You have front bucket seats,
a center console-in between, a floor shifter, and a full Rallye
gauge package with large speedo and tach.
The dark engine bay really funnels your attention to the 383
cubic-inch V8 in the middle. This has the correct vintage look,
right down to the Mopar blue on the block, Carter four-barrel
carburetor, and decals on the air grabber. But features like the
newer aluminum radiator signal that this one was meant to be a good
cruiser, too. So while this is a hardy motor that loves big power
upgrades, we're also happy to see that this is currently set up to
be a nice all-around driver. That's why you have an A727
Torqueflite three-speed automatic transmission, power steering,
power brakes, front discs, and modern performance tires made
possible by the wheel upgrade.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and thousands $$$$
in build receipts invested within the last few years. This Charger
is the V8 Mopar icon with a thoughtful total presentation. So if
you want to drive a legend, call today!
