Vehicle Description

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Custom

When the pro touring trend came to the classic car world it completely transformed how these old vehicles could perform. Crate 350s were being replaced with LS motors and cars were being built to handle and perform like a new Corvette. These pro touring cars are some of the coolest vehicles on the road nowadays and even better than their looks is the fact that long distance driving became much more comfortable and feasible. After all, cars were meant to be driven and these cars are built with that thought in mind. The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro you see here is one of those pro touring cars and underwent a frame off rotisserie custom build in 2014/2015 that was all done professionally. It was completed by American Muscle Restoration and has 9,549 miles on it since it was finished. The complete process involved a ton of hours and over $150,000 invested. During the build the car was completely disassembled and the body all media blasted. The paint and body work alone totals up to over $30,000 and the result is a beautiful gloss Black exterior. Black is a tough color to get right and this one was done really well. The bumpers and trim were not only replaced but were also painted Black as well which gives it a very tough looking exterior. Even the aftermarket headlights themselves add to the cool aggressive look. The car was obviously very well thought out and designed. All of the emblems were removed except for the Chevy bowtie on the grill. The glass is all new and was redone with a smoke tint. The stance of the car is perfect and it rides on 18 inch Boze wheel with P Zero Pirelli tires. It has mini tubs in the back allowing space for a wider tire for better traction.

Pop the cowl hood and you will find a completely rebuilt LS3 motor with Red Camaro covers. It has an LS3 serpentine belt system, Fast Big Mouth throttle body and the entire engine compartment has a nice show ready look. The motor is kept running nice and cool with a Griffin aluminum radiator and electric fans. The car has a great sound through a custom exhaust system that consists of Stainless Works LS headers, 3 inch stainless tubes and Magnaflow mufflers. On the dyno the car puts out 405 hp and 384 torque to the wheels. The motor sends power through the custom 3 inch steel driveshaft to the fully rebuilt 4L70 automatic transmission. The car has 4 wheel Wilwood disc brakes under all four corners and a Wilwood brake booster. DSE power steering was also added making it an extremely comfortable car to cruise around in. As we mentioned before it was mini tubbed in back and it has a Quadralink rear end and Speed 3 front suspension. It has a Red top Optima battery which has been relocated and there is so much going on with this custom build that we are sure there is something we left out.

The interior was done in a nice Red and Black leather combo that was very well done. It has high back Bucket seats with headrests up front and aftermarket Red lap belts. A custom console was built for the car and has been upholstered in Red with a houndstooth pattern which is a nice homage to the vintage Camaro style. The console houses a custom shifter, cupholders, and Kenwood touch screen head unit. The rest of the custom sound system consists of two Pioneer 2 channel 400 watt amps, a Memphis Audio M5 subwoofer, and Memphis Audio 6x9 speakers. The dash is custom as well with all new Black face Performance Series Faria gauges, LED light indicators, Black Vintage AC/Heat controls and all custom billet knobs. The tilt column sits nicely in front of the driver and is topped off with a Budnik steering wheel. The trunk is all nicely upholstered as well and has a custom panel to expose the Pioneer amps.

The more you look at this classic the more obvious how well it was built becomes. No piece of it was left untouched. It comes with a lot of receipts as well as a set of chrome bumpers should you want to swap out the Black ones. If you are in the market for a vintage Camaro but want one that can handle every driving style, this is the one. Don't waste your time and money building one because it would without a doubt cost much more than our asking price.
