This 1987 Chevy K30 Crew Cab 4x4 Custom Deluxe Pickup is a rare
find in this original condition. This is a very clean, solid and
original 1 Ton Crew Cab. This truck was originally a US Government
Truck that used in Oregon and we believe it was a Forestry Truck.
After that it went to a Ranch in Eastern Oregon where it spent the
last 16 years. This truck is has always been well maintained and
recently had the mechanics gone through and it is ready to use.
This would be a cool truck to leave as is or because it is rare a
high dollar restoration would be a possibility as well. This truck
has a clean Carfax and has only 3 entries for miles. We are unsure
of what the actual miles are. The body on this truck is in great
condition and appears to have all of its original metal. The paint
is original and still in great condition and shined up nice. The
color is Saddle. The underside is also extremely clean and it still
has original primer on the floors. The last owner put new hinge
pins in the front doors and all 4 doors close great!! This is one
of the cleanest original bodies we have seen in a crew cab and it
is 99% rust free with the exception of 1 very small rust spot on
the passenger front fender. The interior is all original and in
surprisingly good condition. We left it all original with the front
seat needing to be reupholstered if desired. We do have a new set
of tan Cabelas aftermarket seat covers for the truck. Door panels
are still nice and it has a new dash because the original one was
cracking. All of the lights, blinkers, horn, heat, AC, wipers are
working. One other nice item is having the door weatherstripping
replaced.
Mechanically this truck is excellent!!! the previous owner recently
spent a lot of time and money to go through all of the mechanicals
to make this a reliable truck. He really went over and above
because he was going to keep it and use it for an everyday driver.
The only reason he sold it is because a dream vehicle came up for
him to buy so he needed to sell it. The engine is the 5.7L 350 V8
Throttle Body Fuel injection engine that runs strong. It was a
crate engine in 2015 and he estimates there are 25,000 miles on it
currently. It really runs great! They put in a new radiator at that
time. The Transmission is the sm465 4 Speed manual and it shifts
nice. A new clutch was put in when the engine was replaced. It is
mated to the np205 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should.
New U-Joints were also put in. The rear axle is a Corporate 14 Bolt
with 3.73 Gears and it has new Axle Seals and Fluid. The front axle
is the desirable KingPin Dana 60 with 3.73 Gears and it has new
seals, bearings, and fluid. The brakes are all new including pads,
calipers, and master cylinder. The entire AC system was rebuilt and
everything replaced or rebuilt and it works excellent. It uses R134
and it even has a new blower motor. The fuel tanks are new and that
includes the selector and valves so everything works as it should.
This truck has aftermarket rims, but the original hubcaps are
included. Awesome vehicle!!!!
