Vehicle Description
1977 Pontiac Trans Am
Why This Car Is Special
We have a legendary black 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am here at
Skyway Classics that is a true American icon, not only as a muscle
car, but thanks to Hollywood too.
Some of you, heck probably most of you love a '77 T/A because it is
what was portrayed to be the original Smokey and the Bandit car
that Burt Reynolds drove away from the Sherriff, but you will love
this Trans Am we have for other obvious reasons such as it is all
original with what we believe is the original low mileage of 22965,
and in its factory-correct Starlight Black paint, 6.6 400 cubic
inch Pontiac engine, and the black interior.
Mechanical
Pop the hood and you will see that correct factory code stamped on
the block, XE, 400 cubic inch, 6.6 Litre, Pontiac engine in all its
glory. It looks as it did when it was new as the engine block,
intake, and Pontiac valve covers are painted in the correct Pontic
blue paint, has performance exhaust headers flowing into the dual
exhaust system, nice muscle thanks to the four-barrel carburetor
and that factory hood scoop, and is backed by the strong Turbo
Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.
Trans Ams were known for their handling, and this one goes great
with the Variable Ratio power steering, power disc brakes, and the
modern grip of BF Goodrich Radial TA tires on 15" X 8" Pontiac gold
factory Snowflake wheels, with great sounds coming out the chrome
splitter tips.
Interior
Inside is the immaculate stellar black interior consisting of black
vinyl high-backed front buckets seats with the matching rears both
well bolstered, black center console, tilt/telescoping three-spoke
Pontiac TA formula sport steering wheel, air conditioning, the cool
machined aluminum dash with all the factory Rally gauges with clock
and tach, power windows, power door locks, AM/FM stereo system,
black carpeting and floor mats.
Exterior
The Starlight Black paint job is great and is accented by the Trans
Am Screaming Chicken and shaker on the hood and the full-width rear
spoiler, Trans Am decal package, gold and black grill with the quad
headlights, this 'Bandit' package is one that will remain appealing
for many more years to come.
With these Trans Am's being the star of a feature film makes it an
instant classic everyone knows and loves, you can be sure that the
demand for it is just as high today as it was back in 1977.
It even comes with some framed memorabilia of Burt and the Trams Am
as well as the Pontiac printed Window Sticker to use at all the car
cruises and shows you take it to.

Skyway Classics is totally one of the best Trans Am's to have and
is as nice as we have ever seen to be original.
