Intro
How about a soft top BMW that seats four, can rip to 60 mph in about four seconds, and cruise effortlessly at 150 mph? This M6 has very low mileage and under the hood is the fantastic V10 5.0 Liter engine from the M5. Push the M button on the steering wheel and this luxury car’s dual personality comes alive. The suspension tightens and the more acute throttle response provides a wailing exhaust tone all the way up to the 8250 rpm redline. This car is pristine and has NEVER seen snow or ice (stored indoors from October to April).
Exterior
This M6 space gray metallic exterior is in excellent condition. There is a scratch forward of the wheel well on the left side as shown in one of the pictures. The three-layer insulated soft top is in excellent condition and powers open in about 25 seconds. The vertical-glass rear window can be raised or lowered independently of the top, so it offers some options for interior wind turbulence. This M6 has a clean CarFax with no reported accidents.
Interior
This M6 has the Seven speed sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG) transmission and Logic Seven Sound System with DVD player and navigation. Black merino leather covers the power adjustable and heated front seats, the door panels, rear seats, center console and dashboard with carbon fiber trim. Options include the head-up display, Comfort Access, HD radio, satellite radio, black carbon fiber interior trim and Merino full leather upholstery with suede-like, Alcantara roofliner.
Suspension
The three-way driver adjustable M6 suspension set-up is more performance oriented than the standard 6 series car and the M6 handles remarkably well for a big car. It has 19-inch staggered wheels and all four are in excellent condition. The tires have approximately 10,000 miles on them and are in good condition.
Mechanicals
The current (second owner) purchased this 500 hp M6 in 2008 as a certified preowned car from Perillo BMW in Chicago. He had the M6 regularly maintained by Wizard Werks, Chicago, IL. The car is in excellent condition and is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
Summary
It is rare to find an unmolested M car or one that has not be driven hard. This M6 was well cared for by the current owner, it never saw snow or ice and has a low 40,700 miles. The original price was $113,220 and included all the desirable options. With the soft top down, you can enjoy the sweet V10 music, or put the insulated top up and listen to your favorite tunes on the wonderful Logic Seven sound system.
