streetrodded 1941 Mercury convertible? We are proud to offer this
clean and custom build for sale! The build started with a real
deal, all steel 1941 Mercury Eight Convertible that was massaged
and molded into a pavement pounding one-off custom. The exterior is
straight and coated in a high-gloss Dupont Chroma Black paint with
Dupont Glamour clear coat. The convertible top was chopped 3", and
still works great. The doors have a painted mural for the Viva Las
Vegas Rockabilly Weekend show, which this car participated in.
Halibrand Sprint wheels in gloss black with chrome center caps are
wrapped in wide white wall BF Goodrich tires. Custom billet vent
windows were installed, all trim was removed and the holes properly
filled, the rear fenders were molded to the car, the door and trunk
handles were shaved and put on remote poppers. This car looks
fabulous with the top up or down. The convertible top is a black
cloth with a glass back window. Power windows have been added along
with Mercedes bucket seats, a tilt steering column with Lecarra
custom wood banjo steering wheel, CD player, a Springfield dash
with VDO Night Series gauges, a custom center console, and Vintage
Air A/C with billet outlets. A Centech wiring harness was installed
as well. The interior is upholstered in aircraft quality leather
and retains the factory rear seat, while the floors are covered in
German wool carpet. Does it still have the 95 horsepower flathead
under the hood? No way! This beauty is powered by a built Mark 4
Chevy 454 CID V8 with an Edelbrock intake and 4-barrel carburetor,
a Griffin aluminum radiator, GM HEI distributor with Taylor wires,
Billet brackets and pulleys, Jet Hot coated block-hugger headers
running to 2.5" aluminumized dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers
and more! A GM mini power steering pump with a Saginaw 605PS
steering box makes this cruiser a breeze to drive. The transmission
is built with a shift kit, TCI Streetfighter 3,000 RPM stall
converter, and a 3" Denny's driveshaft. That setup runs the power
out to a Currie Ford 9" rear end with 3.70 traction lock gears and
SAC parallel leaf springs. A Super Bell 4" drop front axle with
split wishbone suspension and Magnum front disc brakes connected to
a Corvette master cylinder by Engineered Components. If you're
looking to stand out from the crowd and be the center of attention
anywhere you go, this is the ride for you. It has been featured in
Street Rodder Magazine and won many awards! This vehicle is
eligible for an Extended Service Contract through Classic Vehicle
Protection. Please visit www.Survivor-Cars.com/warranty for more
