1985 Chevrolet K30 Scottsdale Montana Pickup Truck - 4x4 - Four
Door 3+3 - 7.4L V8 - 4 Speed Manual with Overdrive (Please note: If

Garage Kept Motors.) Here we have what was Chevy's biggest model in
the consumer line of pickups. The 3+3 four door cab, longbox, 4x4,
with a 454ci V8 under the hood. It's a cool truck that looks as if
it would be right at home on a jobsite, or travelling across acres
and acres of open land. Moving steer or feed wouldn't have been a
big deal for this Montana truck thanks to the big block V8 under
the hood. This truck is ready for whatever you want to throw at it.
Transport your work crew to the jobsite, or your family and friends
through town. 4 doors, a large cab, longbox bed, 4x4, and a manual
transmission are just a few of the highlights of this big
Squarebody. It started life as a 3+3 K30 Scottsdale, although the
interior has been altered slightly. A pair of bucket seats and a
console have taken the place of the original bench seat at the
front of the cabin. The large rear bench seat remains in place -
plenty of room for a few extra passengers. The rest of the interior
remains pretty standard, and offers a brown/tan trimmed dashboard,
AM/FM radio, large single spoke steering wheel, a number of gauges,
and newer door panels. The exterior is finished in Gold and
features chrome bumpers, longbox bed, front brush guard, and cab
lights. The exterior is in used condition, it has a few scars that
can be seen in our photos, but nothing that is detrimental to the
use of the truck itself. The paint shines and is even throughout,
body panels are aligned as they should be, and the bed features a
spray on bedliner. Close to the center of the bed is a ball hitch,
right about where you would expect to see a gooseneck trailer
receiver. We're not sure what the ball hitch mount was used for,
but in our minds it makes sense that the truck was probably used on
a ranch or farm during its time in Montana. Under the hood is a
454ci V8 mated to a 4 speed manual transmission. Chevrolet boasted
of the torque that the 454 produced, which made it perfect for
towing and hauling. The transmission features overdrive and a low
gear - or Granny Gear which paired well with the torque producing
engine. Next to the gear selector in the cab is the drive selector,
allowing the driver to choose from 2HI, 4LO, or 4HI. Other
highlights of the engine are power steering, power brakes, chrome
valve covers, and Edelbrock air cleaner. This truck is a big, old
squarebody that's ready for whatever you may need it for. The 454
under the hood mated to the 4x4 system give it the ability to tow,
haul, or traverse rough terrain. An extended 4 door cab and longbed
provide plenty of space for cargo whether you're hauling people
through town, pulling a trailer, or filling the bed with goods.
