This 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible has been given solid investment
to give you the kind of car that's a true classic and a true
cruiser. Vibrant paint, an A/C interior, and a rebuilt V8 headline
this drop-top that was restored to really be enjoyed.
Red always has appeal on convertibles, and this one knows how to
show it well. There was a big investment in this drop-top starting
in 2019, and we have a receipt documenting $5k spent on just the
prep and paint. So there's a great luster that we like on a
sunshine-friendly convertible. The idea behind the restoration was
about getting a stock and clean car, but there's also room for
individuation. This one has a sporty style that comes from deleting
the bumper guards, adding styled steel wheels, and having a
GT-style dual exhaust through the rear valance. And the
snug-fitting white folding roof goes nicely with the paint to give
this first-gen Mustang the true all-American appeal of a coca-cola
bottle. It all makes for an eye-appealing classic.
As much as we like the look of the top, with the flip of a switch,
it powers down to reveal a detailed full black interior. A solid
investment here means a deep/dark color on the door panels, dash,
seats, and carpeting. It's an inviting look, and because this one
wants to be a true cruiser, they also added extra comfort. Upgrades
are well-integrated, like the retro-style AM/FM digital tuner
w/cassette and new kick panels built for modern stereo speakers.
The center console is a modern unit with a handy armrest and cup
holders, but it fits right in with the rest of the black interior.
And while the air conditioner looks like the classic
dealer-installed piece, it's actually a new one blowing cold with
modern R134a refrigerant.
And we know ice-cold air is welcomed on top-down summer days.
The receipt file documents thousands $$$$ invested, and it includes
a rebuild of the motor. This was born a C-code car, and the aim of
the restoration was to get the 289 cubic-inch V8 and the whole
engine bay looking back to stock. So Ford fans will marvel at
everything from the bold blue on the block to the correct washer
refill bag on the inner fender. This kind of investment also means
you get a strong-running powerhouse. And when paired with the
three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes,
and front discs up, it really delivers an ideal classic that's made
to drive.
Complete with the build receipts, this is the iconic convertible
that's terrific to look at and even more fun to drive. It's a rare
opportunity at a well-priced drop-top pony car. Call today!!!
