Vehicle Description
This 1981 Cadillac Coupe DeVille is a preserved classic that is
becoming cooler by the day - especially because this one is sharp,
loaded, and has a story to tell. So the affordable price really
makes this V8 cruiser irresistible.
The odometer is believed to reflect the full actual mileage of this
car. That's because the story we're told on this one is that the
original owner bought the coupe for his wife, but she never drove
it. The car eventually went to the son, and he eventually sold it
to the first owner outside of the family in decades. Now is your
chance to be the second owner outside of the family. While this has
received less use, that does not mean it missed out on care. The
Sterling Silver Metallic paint looks like it was given a proper
respray later in life. And it's well-detailed with the black
pinstripe that coordinates with the taut black vinyl half roof.
Brightwork is always a priority on a classic Caddy, and you can
really see the difference you get in a well-maintained car like
this. The front bumper has a bright and crisp style, and
well-preserved end caps mean a nearly seamless line between the
body and the upright chrome taillight housing. And there are also
terrific details with the clean grille, complete bagging (w/hood
ornament,) and the Cadillac wire wheels. In total, it makes for the
bright and well-creased style you want in a DeVille.
The red leather interior looks bold against the silver exterior.
And the condition of the seats, plush carpeting, wood-like trim,
smooth dash, and more all really show that like-new condition that
backs up this ultra low-mileage feeling. Not only does this feel
like a time capsule, but it's also loaded. So you have power front
seats, power windows, power locks, cruise control, a tilt steering
column, and the factory AM/FM/cassette stereo. The automatic A/C
climate control has been converted to modern R134a refrigerant, and
it likely just needs a recharge to blow cold again. Just like any
good Cadillac, it has space for six people, but the fold-down
armrests provide individual comfort. And the trunk is large enough
to carry the whole foursome's golf clubs.
This is still the era of big Cadillac V8s, and the 368 cubic-inch
motor is believed to be original to this very original car. But the
advantage of later DeVilles in this generation is that you had
factory fuel injection. This is a strong powerhouse, and it floats
down the road as a proper Caddy should. Plus, a three-speed
automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes with front
discs make a great total package.
The sale comes complete with plenty of paperwork, including the
owner's manual packet, title documentation, service manuals, and
maintenance records. This is a preserved true American cruiser
offered for quite an affordable price. Call today!!!
