Vehicle Description
If you were to spare no expense building your dream custom vintage
truck, it would turn out like this 1955 Chevrolet 3100 restomod. It
has amazingly slick paintwork, a luxurious A/C interior, overdrive
transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, and fuel-injected stroker V8
that can win awards for its appearance alone. And since there's
only 150 miles on the full build, your fresh and shining dream can
become a reality right now.
Just one look and you can see a lot of work has gone into this
pickup. The black is a deep rich color that could have been on the
best 1950s trucks. But the moment the sunlight hits it, you see the
terrific luster of a modern and professionally applied clearcoat
finish. The bumpers, grille, mirrors, and door handles all compete
with the paint as they shine like mirrors. Badges and emblems have
been shaved for a sleeker custom style. And the crystal clear
headlights and LED taillights prove that even the details want to
be bright. The Billet Specialties salt flat style wheels have an
18/20-inch front/rear stagger for a modern and aggressive stance.
But even with these upgraded features, the truck doesn't lose its
original personality. This model series was the beginning of the
stylistic wraparound windshields, and it's known for the extra
flair in the fenders - especially the rear. And a classic pickup
means real lumber on the bed floor.
The red interior will catch your eye for its boldness, but it will
really impress for its detail-rented luxury. The leather seats have
plenty of bolstering, and the ostrich inserts match the custom door
panels for a thoughtful and uniform build. There is a middle jump
seat, and it folds down to give you an armrest center console.
Plush carpeting, a complete headliner, and a smooth dash are all
part of the fresh total package. And it's also loaded with the best
features, like power windows, provisions for a retro-style radio,
and cold blowing air conditioning. The custom sport steering wheel
is on a tilt column, and it gives you a clear view of the upgraded
Dakota Digital gauges. And have you noticed that they even glow red
in this well-coordinated interior?
When you lift the hood, all you see are smooth inner walls, fresh
components, and plenty of polished upgrades. So the engine bay is
just as thoughtful as the rest of this build. And when you look
beyond the style, you'll see the substance of a big power small
block. It starts with a Blueprint 396 cubic-inch stroker V8. These
were built to have around 485 hp right out of the box, and this one
is topped with a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system for
the best in power and consistency. This has the right supporting
components, like an MSD billet Distributor, a Street Fighter
ignition box, and a BeCool aluminum radiator w/electric fans. Plus,
Hedman ceramic-coated headers add power and rumble to the side-exit
exhaust. FTI Performance built the 700R4 four-speed automatic
transmission. So it can handle the big power and also has a 2600
RPM stall. At the same time, it's an overdrive unit good for
cruising. This versatility is seen in the rest of the driving
package with rack & pinion power steering, Hydratech brake booster
with CPP proportioning valve, and Wilwood four-wheel disc
brakes.
