1977 Chevrolet Corvette
Car History
The 1977 model year marked a manufacture milestone with the
production of the 500,000th Corvette. We have a restored factory
code #66 Orange C3 1977 Corvette here at Adventure Classics that is
powered by a 350 V8 engine and a 3-speed automatic transmission,
has Air Conditioning, and a code #692 Dark Brown leather
interior.
Engine & Drivetrain
Our Corvette has the 350 cubic inch 4-barrel V8 engine and ours has
been modified and has performance parts added to it to make it even
more powerful than it was.
To start off with you will notice the performance chrome Chevrolet
logo open element air cleaner and chrome valve covers, intake and
performance carb, headers, chrome distributer, shielding, power
steering and brakes, air conditioning, and more.
All the gases go out the rear via a dual exhaust system and it
rides on the correct factory original Chevrolet Corvette polished
slotted wheels and Cooper Cobra Radial GT white letter tires.
It is backed by a 350 Turbo Hydramatic transmission that has
highway rear axle ratios and runs smooth and powerful and the
transmission shifts excellent.
Interior
1977 saw the steering column repositioned 2 inches closer to the
dashboard to allow a more "arms out" position for the driver. Our
1977 has this dark brown leather interior on the twin front bucket
seats with the factory redesigned center console holding the Sony
aftermarket radio, and the auxiliary gauges that were restyled.
It has the factory Chevrolet Corvette steering wheel with an all
new three-spoke leather-wrapped unit and Power Windows, Cruise
Control, T-Tops, Speedometer & Tachometer, Gauges, and all looks as
original as the day it was built.
Exterior
As stated earlier, the bright orange paint makes this Corvette an
attention getter and shines over the great body lines, accented by
the raised factory domed hood and the chrome luggage rack option on
the rear.
