For Sale: 1938 Ford Deluxe in Charlotte, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

Looking for an incredible Ford custom? Want it in a package that doesn't require red ropes and a car bubble? Well, as the old saying goes: 'Car culture starts where the assembly line stops'. And now that more enthusiasts are starting to migrate to muscle cars, cool creations like this neat Ford De Luxe are becoming more exclusive and more approachable. The product of a detailed, ground-up build, this sweet sedan wraps a spry LS2 drivetrain in bold Coast to Coast fiberglass that dramatically emphasizes form. Have you always dreamed of owning a choice street rod? Here it is!

IT'S ALL ABOUT FORM

The beneficiary of a detailed, ground-up build that was completed by Flowing Wells, Arizona's Wild West Rods & Customs, this sedan is constructed of quality Coast to Coast fiberglass that's been carefully prepped and highly polished. That polish comes courtesy of crisp burgundy two-stage that's buried deep in clear. That svelte shell kicks off with a polished '39 Ford grille, which bends a sculpted hood between stainless-trimmed FoMoCo lenses that front modern headlights and small parking lamps. Behind those lights, sinuous fenders cage stainless-trimmed steps between classy "V8" emblems and shaved Suicide Doors. A chopped and tinted greenhouse seals power windows behind billet wipers and modern, color-keyed mirrors. And at the back of the car, a power decklid centers a frenched tag, complete with a small camera, amid flush taillights and polished exhaust.

PROVEN LS POWER

Enact this classic's bright hood supports and you'll find an even six liters of proven GM small block that, officially dubbed the LS2, spins smooth horsepower into miles of open-road reliability! At the top of that aluminum mill, a small filter fronts a FAST Big Mouth throttle body, which feeds a familiar GM intake. That intake sends a finely tuned mixture of fuel and air into hot 243 heads, which hide under customized LS3 rail covers. Those stock heads cap a stock, factory-spec rotating assembly. Fluid serpentine components spin modern power steering opposite a polished alternator and a polished AC compressor. Factory coils fire short AC Delco plug wires, which split coated GM exhaust manifolds. A polished Performance Rod & Custom radiator fronts a quick puller fan. And naturally, the spirited mill's presentation is simply first class.

BUILT TO ENJOY!

At the bottom of this Ford, a cooled GM 4L60E automatic transmission twists torque to a 9-inch Ford axle. That pumpkin pushes a powder-coated Coast to Coast chassis, which angles modern coil-over-shocks around an independent front-clip and a 4-link rear-clip. Power-assisted calipers clinch a quartet of vented discs. Power rack-and-pinion steering dials in the turns. The aforementioned manifolds dump spent gases into aluminized pipes, which bark through buff MagnaFlow mufflers. An ample stream of fossils is supplied by fifteen gallons of stainless fuel tank. And everything rolls on polished American Racing Hopsters, which spin color-keyed reflections inside 235/45ZR17 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs and 255/45ZR18 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs.

CUSTOM DONE RIGHT

Pop the doors and you'll find a sedate custom interior that's clean, contrasting and exceptionally cool. A snazzy armrest splits a plush leather bench and tall leather buckets. A Charcoal dash frames bright telemetry in polished billet, which perfectly complements a clever Traffic Light Viewer and hardware for modern air conditioning. A subtle console bends around a tall Hurst shifter and modern Kenwood audio. Billet pedals shade clean carpet, which floats color-keyed mats between billet-trimmed side panels. And the driver spins a small Grant steering wheel around a polished, tilting column.

Fully sorted and ready to cruise, this impressive Ford is a timeless take on approachable street rodding. With great performance, a classic driving experience and killer looks, it's the kind of car that'll have you thanking yourself with every walk to the garage.
