Vehicle Description
This 1988 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4x4 Silverado has the stance and
style to look a bit meaner. So when you lift the hood, you'll love
to see that it also has an upgraded Vortec V8 under the hood for
added muscle, too. But with a feature-filled interior and overdrive
transmission, you begin to see that the fuel-injected upgrade was
really all part of making this a well-rounded classic SUV.
There's a little extra boldness with this K5. The cowl induction
hood with LSX callout, beefy side steps, lifted suspension,
big/bright exhaust tips, and 15-inch polished Eagle Alloy wheels
are all part of an upgrade in attitude. It's not overly
intimidating, but just enough to really let it stand out (and
above) in a crowd. It's the kind of Blazer you want to drive, and
so that's why the full package was made to be driven. The bright
red paint is from a respray later in life. It has a nice gloss to
show off the good body lines, but the overall finish will never
make you nervous about taking this 4x4 on the trail. It even has
wide towing mirrors and a proper trailer hitch to let you take the
fun along with you.
These full-size Blazers are all about offering plenty of space and
comfort inside. So there's adult size legroom in the second row,
and behind that is still plenty of cargo room for everyone's gear.
And when it comes to headroom, the removable hardtop means it's
unlimited! Up front is a good driver's setup with high-back bucket
seats and a center console in-between. It's an easy reach to all
the features, like the power windows (including rear one,) power
locks, and the upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input. The upgraded
steering wheel is on a tilt column, so you get a good view of the
full wraparound dash.
Under the hood is a terrific upgrade. The 5.3-liter Vortec V8 was
given a professional installation to make it look like it belonged
here from day one. This fuel-injected powerhouse starts up eagerly,
idles smoothly, and has one of the best powerbands you'll ever
experience. And while we don't know if the odometer reflects the
body's actual mileage, the motor upgrade certainly makes it feel
like quite a younger machine. Plus, the right smooth-shifting
four-speed automatic transmission was paired with this Vortec. Not
only do you have overdrive, but also more comfortable driving
features, like power steering, power brakes, and front discs. And
when it's time to go off-road, the two-speed 4x4 transfer case
combines with the lifted stance and Falken Wildpeak tires for true
go-anywhere ability.
Complete with owner's manual, this is the robust and upgraded K5
Blazer that's both comfy and capable. Call today!!!
