Vehicle Description
Beautiful chrome, beautiful paint, beautifully fitting panels
ending tailfins... this 1962 Cadillac Series 62 convertible has
been restored to make sure it represents the best of an icon. It
makes for the kind of drop-top that people remember long after you
pull away.
The tailfin was arguably in its most artistic era on this Caddy.
They looked less like individual rockets, and more like a part of
an integral design. You can see how the fins on the top are almost
mimicked in the rockers. It's developed over a long and crisp
profile to deliver a look that's both purposeful and premium.
That's why a car like this gets treated with proper respect and
gets a proper restoration investment. So the factory-correct
Olympic White can pass the white glove test today. And the body is
exceptionally detailed with well-fitting doors and fender skirts so
that the lines seem almost unbroken over the whole car. Plus, the
white convertible top and whitewall tires look so good against the
paint, we'd almost call this car triple-white. Of course, it's also
the brightwork that makes these a legend. The artful front bumper
shines like a mirror, the full trim package is complete, the wire
wheels are intricately bright, and the rear radiates as it fits
into the overall design. It all makes for the kind of car that can
define an era.
While we like the all-white look of this one with the top on,
there's an even more attractive look when you power the roof down.
The red interior almost seems to radiate from within the white
exterior, and it all makes for a very vintage premium tone. This
classic upper-class feeling also comes from the condition of the
carpeting, upholstery, and all the other well-done fundamentals. As
a classic Cadillac, you have some nice features, like power windows
and air conditioning. And this one even has some nice little
details, like the working courtesy lights and a set of matched
luggage in the trunk. But what we really like is how this one is
set up to be a true cruiser. The radio was upgraded to a
retro-style AM/FM digital tuner for better driving music. And not
only do you rarely see these Caddys with front bucket seats, but
they even individually power adjust to the ideal comfort
position.
Cadillac's numbers matching 390 cubic-inch motor fills this engine
bay properly with big V8 power. This appears just as vintage and
well-presented as the rest of the car. So what that really means is
they made the right investments to keep this V8 a strong-runner.
There's also power steering, a three-speed automatic transmission,
power brakes, and front discs. So the overall package is a solid
and smooth cruiser.
Complete with owner's manual, this is a rolling icon that's truly
worthy of its status. So if you've been looking for the Cadillac of
your dreams, don't let this one slip away. Call today!!!
