Vehicle Description
Here is an American Icon, a national award winning 1957 Chevrolet
Bel Air Convertible that has been all dolled up and is ready to
roll. The Bel Air was Chevrolet's top-of-the-line model for 1957
and the convertible models made up around 3% of the total Chevrolet
production in 1957. The Bel Air line cars were adorned with with
gold script, gold front mesh grills, and other gold accents around
the vehicle, signifying its top spot atop of the Chevrolet product
offerings in 1957. This particular example, which comes to us out
of a large Texas-based collection, underwent a complete frame-off
restoration and was an Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA)
award winner a few years back. With 1957 being the first year for
Chevy's famous 283 V8, this particular Bel Air is a Power Pack car
with the 283 Cubic Inch V8 and a single 4 barrel carburetor that
pushed out 220 horsepower in its day. Dual Exhaust gives this Bel
Air Convertible an excellent throaty sound. A Manual 3 Speed Manual
Transmission is hooked up to the 283 V8, making for a really fun
car to go for a summer cruise. This '57 Bel Air Convertible is
equipped with Factory Power Steering which makes for a much more
enjoyable driving experience. Sitting on 4 Wide Whitewall Bias Ply
Tires with Full Spinner Wheelcovers, this Bel-Air has a gorgeous
50s look. A rear-mounted Continental Kit adds to the stunning 50
look of this Bel Air. The chrome and brightwork around the exterior
of this classic Chevy is in stunning, show-worthy condition. The
exterior on this 1957 Chevy has been refinished in its original
color, beautiful Matador Red Exterior Paint. The white vinyl power
convertible top is in fantastic shape and works great, going up and
down with the simple push of a button. The interior in this '57
Chevy Bel Air is stellar. The bench seats and door panels have been
recovered in classy Silver and Red Vinyl, which is exactly how this
car was ordered back in 1957. The black carpeting is in superb
condition and really sets off the Red and Silver Vinyl Interior
look of the car. The Dash and Steering Wheel are in excellent shape
and appear just as they did when this Bel Air Convertible rolled
off the Atlanta factory line. The instrument cluster, which is in
its stock configuration, is equipped with a Speedometer,
Temperature Gauge, Gas Gauge, AM Radio, and Electric Clock. Whether
you're looking for your very first collector car or you have a
garage full of classic Chevys, this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air
Convertible would be an excellent choice. Give us a call today.
