This 1976 Mustang Cobra II has only 30,000 original miles and one
previous owner! Originally put together here in the Motor City in
1976, it was sold new in Virginia. It remained in the south with
its original owner until coming to our showroom. Inside and out,
this Mustang looks like it just left the factory. Beginning with
the exterior: The white paint and blue Shelby accents look great
and really set this Cobra apart. There is no fading or cracking of
the paint, as you will often see in lesser examples. Underneath,
the car is spotless. It is clear from the condition of this vehicle
that it has always been very well maintained. This Cobra is 100%
rust and body filler free. It has never been in an accident. The
interior of this car is finished in dark blue, and complements the
blue and white exterior. The seats are without tears or cracks. The
rear seats look as if they have never been sat in. The headliner,
dash and carpet are all in great shape and could pass easily for
new. All of the factory instrumentation, gauges, lights, radio, etc
work exactly as they should.
Underneath the hood lies a numbers-matching 302cid V8 engine. Like
the rest of this vehicle, it is in excellent shape. It runs very
strong and the maintenance has always been kept up. The underside
of the engine is clean and dry. The 4-speed manual transmission
shifts smoothly without issue. Other mechanical highlights include
power steering and power brakes (discs in the front). The Cobra II
is an absolute joy to drive and attracts attention everywhere it
goes. This vehicle comes with all the original documentation, as
well as a Marti Report confirming its authenticity. This Cobra II
would be an excellent addition to any collection and is ready to
hit the road!
