A sleek 1968 Chevrolet Nova is always going to be attractive, but
this is also a restomod with all the best irresistible upgrades.
That means an awesome A/C interior, overdrive transmission,
four-wheel disc brakes, and a seriously powerful LS3 fuel-injected
V8 under the hood.
Third-generation Novas are great cars. The fastback styling of the
coupe combined with the reputation for being real "sleeper"
performance machines make these a highly desirable classic. Now
take it up a notch with those bright mag-style wheels, ribbed
rockers, proper SS badging, and large dual exhaust tips. But while
this one has speedy style, the real desirability is the level of
quality it delivers. The paint looks similar to 1968's Fathom Blue,
except it takes a lighter tone to let the metallic pop in the
sunlight. It's the kind of expensive application that almost still
looks wet, and so the shine seems to add definition to the
well-done body lines. Mirror-like bumpers, clean/clear glass, and
doors that close with new-like confidence tell you they really kept
an eye on details when restoring this Nova.
The interior has been totally restored in light blue, which is a
great complementing color to the exterior. There's a fresh feeling
to the carpeting, headliner, dash pad, and door panels. The
comfortable texture on the dual bench seats means there's easy
seating for plenty of family and friends. And it's easy to take
everyone for a ride with nice upgrades like retro-style AM/FM
digital tuner stereo and cold-blowing air conditioning. But the
moment you twist the key and see the full digital gauge package
light up, you know this is a special car made just for the
driver.
The engine bay has a fantastic presentation that makes it obvious
there's a modern V8 shoehorned into this compact rocket ship. It's
a 6.2-liter LS3 fuel-injected V8. These were the start of a
performance car revolution with the modern Chevys, and they were
good for 420+ horsepower. So it can do some amazing things in this
classic Nova. It's mated to a modern four-speed automatic
transmission that offers a good balance of handling the power while
also giving you comfortable overdrive. This feeds the 3.73 rear end
with Positraction. Plus, you have good all-around driving features
with power steering, modern Kumho tires, and four-wheel power disc
brakes.
Beautifully built with a beautiful sound coming from the dual
exhaust...Yes, this is everything you want in a restomod Nova, but
you're not the only one who recognizes how special this one is.
