Vehicle Description
1975 BMW 2002
The BMW 2002 Series is a compact executive car produced by German
automaker and design director Wilhelm Hofmeister and staff
designers George Bertram and Manfred Rennen. The shorter length and
wheelbase and lighter weight of the two-door sedan made it more
suitable for new "Sport Class" sedan. As a result the two-door
sedan became the basis for BMW to use the 2002 to compete in the
Trans Am Series races. Hans-Joachim Stuck and Clemens Schickentanz
won the 24 Hours Nurburgring driving a 2002!
The very thin pillars of the car ensured a particularly good
all-around visibility. The 2002 features a 2.0 Liter engine and at
just 960 kg (2116 lbs) this BMW moves quick around the corners. The
light weight 2002 has RWD (rear-wheel drive) and automatic 3-speed
gearbox makes for a responsive throttle control giving it excellent
balance and driving characteristics. The classic 1975 model has
become sought out by investors and collectors alike.
Restoration of this beautiful 2002 features new paint and all body
moldings for front and rear fenders, doors, and tail panel. New
