** September 2023 update**
As immaculate as the car is it unfortunately had an engine issue arise. I am now making the car available with an adjusted price. The car had a connector rod let go, naturally it punctured the oil pan, there is no visible cracks in the block. There were no shards of metal, no slugging of the oil in the block. There are those that believe it could be metal failure.
The issue is of course the block and viable options that can be considered to keep it original is to find the proper block (3892657) and use the upper part of the engine. There is also the option of finding a completed engine. These repair solutions cost around $7K for an entire engine or around $3K for a lower rebuild. There are other options that can be considered, high performance crate engines or upgrading to a 427 big block are options.
This could be a winter project, I will be also working on finding a solution for this, car is already put away for the winter. This option will only be available for the upcoming winter months, then I will address this myself with more commitment come spring. I know what these cars retail at, I know what the repair costs are, I will consider reasonable offers that are a reflection of the condition of the car, and what is required to get it fixed. I am in a position I can make this appealing to a buyer, I encourage those interested to make an offer. ** September 2023 update**
This L79 67 Coupe was the last hurrah or last year for the C2 Generation Corvette.
