For Sale: 1966 Chevrolet Impala in Arlington, Washington

Vehicle Description

1966 Chevy Impala Sedan for sale. 58,754 original miles. 327 engine. Automatic. Base model. Starts, runs, drive and reverse work, brakes work. All original.

The engine is the original 327ci.  It has a slow oil leak coming from somewhere.  The engine fires up and it idles and runs well.  I have driven it around town a little bit but I have not taken it too far or on the highway.  The carburetor could be rebuilt or replaced in the short term to improve the performance and reliability.  Eventually it would need an engine rebuild or swap.  The transmission works and shifts.  The brakes work.  Power steering is good.  Speedometer works. Turn signals, brake lights, lights, high beams, all work.

The body is very straight with a few little bumps here and there. Chrome is in good condition. There is a little bit of rust in the usual spots, fender, but nothing too serious.  It will need a new paint job eventually.  Nothing serious that would impact the general aesthetic of the car.

The upholstery and carpet are in good condition, just a few tears.  It is still comfortable to sit in and there is no mold or mildew.  The rear door handles and locking mechanisms need some attention.  Again, nothing serious.

It comes with the original Owners Protection Plan Booklet, the original Owners Manual, and the original Custom Feature Accessories Booklet. It also comes with extra parts (chrome trim, mirrors, interior arm rests).mechanisms need some attention.

Overall it is a great car considering the age and the fact it is all original.  You could get the engine running well and leave it there and it would still be a nice classic car.  Or you could go the distance and do a total restore, or something in between.  It has that potential. That is a collectors dream.

I bought it as a pandemic project and never got around to it. I believe I am the 4th owner. The whole car is totally original. Nothing has been rebuilt or replaced. It sat for a year covered and it fired right up.

This will be a great project and a fantastic collectors item with the original paperwork.

Asking $9000 obo.
