1969 Triumph Spitfire Mark III
DON'T BE AFRAID TO MAKE AN OFFER
This is a custom 1969 Triumph Spitfire Mark III. All body work, paint, and mechanical work that has recently been done to this car was completed in the spring of 2020. The body is solid and rust free, the paint has a small blemish on the passenger side door and fender but is otherwise pristine.
The restoration work done in 2020 was not a return to the stock form. The seats, dash panel, gauge cluster, hood actuators, wheels, convertible top, and elimination of factory badging all differentiate this from an all-original spitfire. None of the modifications have an effect on the performance of the car, and in my opinion improve the looks and functionality, but in the interest of full disclosure I thought it was important to tell.
This car features the original 1969 1.3L engine, which is sought after by many Triumph enthusiasts as the last of the Spitfire engines to be made prior to the emissions regulations of the 1970s.
The car has a clear title.
The spring 2020 restoration included many new parts, listed below:
The engine runs smoothly and does not have any leaks. It is a 1969 Triumph and it runs and drives like a 1969 Triumph, so I’m not going to promise that it won’t decide to leak something tomorrow. But today, it doesn’t have any leaks.
The car has been garage kept since the restoration.
The original miles are unknown, since the restoration the car has been driven approximately 80 miles.
