CLEAN CARFAXFINAL YEAR, HIGH-SPECIFICATION TRANS AM After 35 years
in continuous production, the end of GM F-Body Camaro and Firebird
production in 2002 marked the true end of an era at General Motors.
Launched to great anticipation in late 1966 and in direct
competition with Fords wildly successful Mustang, the Chevrolet
Camaro and Pontiac Firebird were last produced at GMs Ste. Therese,
Quebec assembly plant near Montreal, Canada. Unlike Chevys Camaro,
the Pontiac Firebird line offered a special, high-performance model
continuously throughout production the Trans Am. Delivering equal
parts performance and image, the Firebird Trans Am was highly
successful as Pontiacs halo model, outliving nearly all other
American performance cars throughout its run. Featuring the
original Black paint finish over the original Black leather
interior, this 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Coupe is a highly
original example from the last model year with just over 6,250
actual miles. In addition to the top available 320-horsepower GM
LS1 V-8 engine equipped with Pontiacs famous Ram Air induction
system mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, this outstanding
Trans Am features the optional WS6 performance package, plus
removable T-roof panels, and full comfort and convenience amenities
including 4-wheel power disc brakes, power steering, air
conditioning, cruise control, power door locks, power-adjustable
front bucket seats, power windows, and a premium Delco AM/FM CD
stereo system. Performance delivered by the already hot LS1 V-8
engine is further heightened with an upgraded intake and exhaust
system from SLP, with the OEM items included with the sale of the
vehicle. History includes ownership in Rhode Island, Kentucky,
Missouri, and Montana, documented by dealer and factory paperwork
and clean Carfax. Factory-issued books and manuals are included.
Offered in mint condition, thanks to the garage storage its whole
life and with exceptionally low mileage, this 2002 Pontiac Firebird
Trans Am features the most desirable performance, comfort, and
appearance options including the WS6 Performance Package and
6-speed manual transmission. A recent test performed by The Last
