Vehicle Description
1990 Mazda Pickup B2600i Truck
Why This Car Is Special
The Mazda B series is a series of pickup trucks that was
manufactured by Mazda. Produced across five generations from 1961
to 2006, the model line began life primarily as a commercial
vehicle. Through its production, Mazda used engine displacement to
determine model designations; a B1500 was fitted with a 1.5 L
engine and a B2600, a 2.6 L engine.
We have a restored and modified 1990 Mazda B26001 pickup truck here
at Skyway Classics that is sharp, functional, and well
modified.
Mechanical
Our Mazda is powered by 2600cc four-cylinder engine (engine size
was incorporated into the nomenclature of the B-Series pickups)
which pumped out 121 horsepower stock. We believe it to be the
original engine and it does have some mods done to it including a
K&N filter, has the factory 12-valve aluminum valve cover, and
all of the stock appearing belts, hose, wiring sitting in the very
clean and detailed engine compartment looking as new as it was in
1990.
This is one of the most powerful standard engines among the compact
trucks and it has power steering and brakes and is backed by the
manual transmission.
Interior
Our restored interior has the two-tone grey and tweed vinyl bench
seat with matching door panels, grey carpet, grey floor mats,
factory dash and speedometer, fuel gauge, water temperature gauge,
tachometer, tilt Mazda steering column and steering wheel, Pioneer
stereo unit, and this B-Series seating is comfortable for occupants
and the driver.
The two-tone grey and tweed seat provides storage space behind the
seats that houses the complete set of custom Kicker speakers
too.
Exterior
Buyers expect a lot from small pickups and this Mazda can carry
loads and at the same time be reliable, comfortable and good
looking. Filling all those needs is a tall order.
But ours does it in spades with the bright red paint job, tinted
windows, bedliner, painted fender flares, black bumpers, and 6-lug
black steel wheels with fat blackwall tires.
The paint showcases the rounded corners and bulging fenders and is
complimented the black trim and mirrors.
Conclusion
The 1990 Mazda Pickup truck we have here at Skyway Classics is a
great solid restored truck with solid chassis, great driveline and
a body that is stylish and distinctive.
This Mazda is well-suited to handling whatever chores are assigned
to it and offers a lot of truck for a relatively small price.
