Vehicle Description
Early 1950s Mercurys are a good bet for a starter collectible,
being usable daily drivers with good colors and modest proportions
when compared to later years. The car's mechanicals are
straightforward. They sold well in their day, but originality can
be a challenge now since early Mercs were popular choices among
period hot rodders.
Restoration completed in June of 1976 @ 77,205 miles. Driven only
31,805 miles in the past 45 years by two loving owners. Original
color respray, nicely redone interior - both very clean and nice!
Current owner lowered the car 4" in 2015 but retained all original
parts to return the car to stock form should one desire. Flathead 8
and 3spd manual trans, no overdrive. New wide whites bias ply tires
in 2018. Fender skirts included. Radio works, clock inop. Engine
was rebuilt in 1995 at 100,556 miles. Transmission was rebuilt in
1998 at 103,092. Carb rebuilt in 2015.Starts/Runs/Drives very well!
