Vehicle Description
This 1959 Ford F-100 Custom Cab strikes the perfect balance between
great-looking vintage pickup and capable V8-powered 4x4. And as you
dig into the pictures and info, you'll see the extra quality that
comes from spending added time and money getting the vintage detail
right.
A big red vintage truck has a great look, especially when the sheet
metal is all this straight. You can really tell this was lovingly
restored by the well-creased look of the styleside bed and how the
full package radiates. This has all the best classic details, from
the blue-dot taillights to the desirable big back window. And an
American classic deserves great brightwork. The big shining grille,
mesh upper grille, mirror-like chrome bumpers, correct badging, and
window trim all look terrific. There are even upgraded bed rails to
show off how this one has the kind of long bed that knows how to
get to work. We wouldn't dare suggest scratching up such a pristine
bed with a trip to the gravel pit, but those modern 16-inch wheels
and modern tires are a nice reminder that this tall 4x4 is still up
for some fun whenever you are.
The interior is all about being a thoughtful classic. It's bright,
clean, and truly vintage. So while the bench seat is new, it also
has the right feel for 1959. The wraparound windshield and rear
glass give the cab an airy feeling; the heater will get you through
the cold mornings to the car shows; and the large steering wheel
has that unmistakable vintage grip. Nothing here wants to break the
spell of a time warp atmosphere, and so they even upgraded the
radio to AM/FM by using the classic AM receiver.
Even the engine bay has some bold red flair. The restoration made
sure that this V8 radiated from within the smooth dark inner walls,
and it even has nice details, right down to the factory decal on
the air topper. Ford's 292 cubic-inch V8 was the largest motor
offered at the time, so it's the exact powerhouse you want in this
truck. It even has upgraded headers to add power and give a nice
tune to the dual exhaust. So this can always be used for a cool
cruiser. But any time you feel like getting across a wet concours
lawn, the two-speed transfer case, Warn locking hubs, and granny
gear on the four-speed really let this be a true 4x4 with plenty of
low-end torque.
Vintage, restored and absolutely distinct... this is a cool pickup
with everything you want, including the owner's manual. Call
