Vehicle Description
Can we interest you in a low-mileage C6 Corvette, optioned out just
the way you'd want it, for a fraction of the price of a new one?
Now that the new Stingray has debuted and the waiting list to get
one is as long as Santa's naughty list, the C6 has become one of
the biggest bargains in the automotive universe. With only 86,150
original miles, the ultimate color combination, and a top that goes
down, this dialed-in and wonderfully preserved 2006 Chevrolet
Corvette Convertible represents a ton of performance and timeless
good looks all at a very appealing price.
If you're going to own a Corvette, why bother with low profile?
Victory Red is definitely the way to go, and with the C6's dramatic
curves and slicing character lines, it looks like a show car come
to life. Prince wrote a hit song about cars just like this, if that
isn't a vote of confidence for this car, nothing is. Showing 86,150
miles and looking like it less than half that, this one has
obviously been babied all its life and kept in a warm, dry garage
every night. I mean, there's hardly a mark on it, only the minor
stuff that's been kicked up onto the lower portion of the car
mainly, but even that's pretty minor. And a lifetime Texas car, you
need not fear any rust issues popping out. Bottom line, at this
price point, with this kind of mileage, you'd be hard-pressed to
find a better presentation. Someone probably waxed this car every
other Saturday, and if it's seen the rain, it was only in an
emergency. The clean lines of the C6 are still attractive, and from
any angle there's just no mistaking this Corvette for anything
else. And by 2006, GM's most technologically advanced factory was
turning out some pretty phenomenal paint jobs; we've seen one-off
customs that didn't have paint this vivid! Check out the way the
finish glows when the light hits it just right, the depth of the
shine, and the goldish-orange under tones that make this paint
truly special.
Some critics complain about the Corvette's interior being too
spartan for a high-end sports car, but they're mistaken. Where else
can you get this much performance and luxury for so little cash?
That's real leather on the deeply sculpted buckets, every comfort
and convenience feature was included, and that black upholstery
looks inviting, doesn't it? You'll never get tired of watching the
gauges do their dance when you key it up (especially when broadcast
across the patented Heads-Up Display), and the engineer in charge
of the driving position and steering wheel-shifter-pedal
arrangement simply nailed it. It's really easy to get comfortable
in a C6, whether it's for a cross-country trip or a hot lap at a
track day. Dual zone A/C, power everything, heated seats,
push-button ignition, and a double-din head-unit that features
navigation and a kickin' AM/FM/CD/DVD/SAT/AUX Bose stereo system
are all part of the package. Better yet, there's plenty of storage
space in back, even with the power top stowed, so this really is a
no-compromises sports car. And speaking of the top, it's also black
and fits superbly without a major wrinkle or crease.
The LS2 V8 grew to 6.0 liters and 400 horsepower in the C6, making
the standard Corvette anything but and nearly matching the power
output of the mighty (and mighty expensive) ZR-1 and Z06 of just a
few years prior. It's also shockingly effective on the road,
delivering horizon-altering acceleration, yet pulling down close to
28 MPG on the open road (when new), thanks to the tall overdrive in
the 6-speed automatic transmission. Vented and cross-drilled brakes
deliver race-quality stopping power, a Corvette tradition since the
early days, and even the suspension is comfortable enough to drive
every day yet capable on the weekend track sessions. The engine bay
and chassis are nearly spotless, while the only modifications are
an awesome-sounding Corsa dual exhaust and K&N cold air intake
that surely boost horsepower. Appearance-wise, the oversized
5-spoke chrome wheels look fantastic against the red paint, and
wear grippy Michelin performance radials in the stock sizes:
245/40/18 front and 285/35/19 rear.
Complete with all of its original manuals, 3 FOBs, and original
keys, this is a no-worries modern performance car that more than
delivers on its promises. Call today!
