Vehicle Description
This 2000 Dodge Dakota R/T is a time-capsule survivor with only
8,321 miles (title reads mileage exempt). This Dakota is finished
in its original black paint with R/T graphics on a regular cab
configuration with a truck bed that looks unused. The undercarriage
of this mini truck is equally clean and original. This Dakota is
equipped with some period-correct Mopar accessories, including an
intake and performance ECU, as well as the original brochure and
Window Sticker with the original intake and ECU. The Dakota R/T is
among the best factory entries into the mini-truck segment and was
the only truck in its class at the time offered with a V8 engine.
The 5.9-liter V8 engine produces 250hp and 345 ft/lbs of torque
mated to an automatic transmission, and the period Mopar
performance accessories add even greater performance. Further
modifications by Dodge, such as the 1-inch lowered suspension,
tight quick-ratio steering gearbox and 17-inch exclusive R/T alloy
wheels, make this truck handle much more like a sports car, and the
3.92 limited-slip differential is well-suited for the performance
characteristics of the Dakota R/T.
