The 2004 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT was an instant collector car. In
2003-2004 these were called the Terminator Cobras. They kept the
independent rear suspension that was only on these specialized
ponies, and it's a special year where they added a supercharger on
top of the V8. So when you have such an awesome performance
package, it only gets better on a one-owner, low-mileage
example.
While a nickname like Terminator will make you think of darkness
and intimidation, this one can't help but be bold in its factory
Screaming Yellow. It has the kind of gloss and shine that reminds
you this car has averaged less than 1,200 annually. Plus, it gets
even brighter with polished pieces like the dual exhaust tips and
optional five-spoke chrome wheels. There are some signs of use that
come with age, but it remains a vivid coupe that looks like it
could glow in the dark. They revised the Cobra look for this short
two-year Terminator run. It includes a beefy front bumper, new rear
fascia, full trunk spoiler, and a heat extractor hood for the new
beast underneath.
The Dark Charcoal interior has a timelessly cool contrast to the
yellow exterior, and the black demeanor makes it feel like this
coupe wants to get down to speedy business. There's Cobra badging
on the dash, wheel, and stitched into the back of the
leather-trimmed sport bucket seats. And because this is a
low-mileage Mustang, you can also see how there's plenty of
sophistication within this darkness. This has desirable features
like cold-blowing air conditioning, power windows, power locks,
power mirrors, power steering, keyless entry/alarm, dual airbags,
and the factory AM/FM/CD changer stereo. The driver's seat power
adjusts to make getting in the ideal driving position easy. The
leather-wrapped steering wheel is on a tilt column, and so you can
get a nice view of the white-faced SVT gauges. Plus, the stick
shift is just where you want your right hand to fall.
The Terminator name has everything to do with the motor. So you
have a well-done presentation with some nice yellow details for
added boldness. The fuel-injected DOHC 4.6-liter V8 is a 32-valve
motor that delivers great all-around performance. So it only got
better when Ford's Special Vehicle Team (SVT) added a supercharger
on top. This was rated at 390 horsepower from the factory, which
would be great for most of us, but this one really turns it up a
notch. It inhales deeper with a BBK cold air intake, and this
exhales with added power and authority as BBK headers feed into a
Flowmaster dual exhaust. You take full control of this awesome
power package thanks to the six-speed manual transmission. And
speaking of control, the SVT cars are the only fourth-gen Mustangs
that came from the factory with a fully independent rear
suspension. Plus, a massive four-wheel power disc brake package,
Bilstein shocks, and modern sport tires complete this total
performance setup.
The sale comes complete with the original window sticker, SVT
certificate, and the owner's manual packet. There were only 3,768
Terminator Mustang coupes built in this final year, and this one
has the look and power to live up to its growing legend. So don't
miss this deal, call today!
