This 1971 Ford Mustang gives you a great classic car appearance in
a seldom-seem body style. So everything from the bright paint to
the Marti Report really makes this V8 classic feel special.
The '71 Mustang began a new era. This is where the idea of lower
and longer cars really struck the first-gen pony car. While we
often see examples of the fastback/Mach 1, a hardtop like this is a
far less-seen body. And that seems odd because this is absolutely
the one if you love style. The hardtop beat out the Jaguar XJS by a
few years to use the long trunk to create an elegant flying
buttress rear end. This example has been refinished later in life
in its factory-correct Bright Red. So it retains a nice gloss that
really lets the light show off the long curve of the hood that ends
in a sporty forward-leaning front. Bright chrome bumpers, proper
side trim, and correct Mustang wheel covers are all part of a very
cool and classic total package.
The factory-correct black interior looks good against the red.
Everything inside has a correct style feeling, but there are some
subtle upgrades. The seats keep the correct look and knit vinyl
pattern, but they have a feeling of a fresher investment. And the
radio has the classic knob-style look, but it's an AM/FM/cassette
with upgraded speakers for better driving music. Plus, the
high-back front bucket seats, the dual-spoke steering wheel, and
deeply recessed gauges have the right driver's car feeling. So this
is an ideal vintage cruiser.
Premium also means power. This was born the optional H-code 351
cubic-inch V8. That correct displacement is still under the hood
today with a year-correct block. It fires up and runs with the kind
of quality that you expect in a well-respected coupe. Plus, the
three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes,
and front disc brakes keep this classy Mustang an easy cruiser.
The sale comes complete with good paperwork, including the original
warranty card, reproduction buildsheet, maintenance records, and
the Marti Report. This is the less-seen coupe that also has a
terrific style. So it's amazing you can get it all right now for
such an affordable price. Call today!!!
